What are the social networks and how do they work?
Each network consists of nodes, all linked together in cyberspace and central hub. It’s like a map of the roads leading to and from all the different nodes. The individual members to join the network of “nodes” interconnected with each other for the common interests of business, or simply socialize.
You might wonder how social networks have begun. As soon as people realized that the World Wide Web took them almost any type of information available, began wondering how to share this information with your friends. Where there is a need to reach a solution. Social networking has emerged because there was no need for it.
For starters, there were two forms of social relationships online. Chat and exchange and linking of e-mail . It was quite good when it comes to one on one communication, but it took an organization linked personal pages to open people to a large number of contacts.
Perhaps one of the greatest advances is the development of user profiles. In this way, friends of people can recognize and connect with them, and new friends can know more about them and decide if they want to tame.
In the past, in small rural communities or neighborhoods where people have formed groups, opportunities for friendship and meeting new people are many. Social networks these days are generally limited to areas that could reasonably be expected to be at your fingertips.
Today, people are moving. Are increasingly isolated in the midst of evolving populations and movement . Keeping in touch with friends and distant relatives? How to know new people? How to share experiences and ideas?
In the privacy of your own social networking site, you can see all the activities and news for your network of friends with minimal effort. To scroll a bit and you know exactly what is happening. You also often able to video chat and web chat.
In general, you also have the choice to grant or to close the visitors to the page. You can also comment news, videos and photos on a website for friends who have granted access to their sites.
The overall assessment is that there are over 200 social networking sites are running, each with its own twist on what they think people want to communicate about.
It seems that there is an increasing tendency to specialize in order to attract people with common interests. For networks, for example, an expert in cooking and gardening and automotive systems, animals and pets and networking for singles in search of new friends, partners or even sex itself.
What people are interested, there are social networks so they can share and express themselves. Many large social networks that meet the general interests of socialization also provide links to specialized sites, such as finding employment, health, or any amount of useful information.
A huge new field of academic research has opened up for social networking. In the old days, many people were just friends in the geographic areas in which they lived close enough together to communicate easily. All this has changed, and a dear friend across the world is only a mouse click.
The constant search to be done, both for sociological reasons and simply for commercial purposes: to gain recognition and attract more users. Deliver what people want always the key to success.
The success is really what some sites have been submitted. Face book units sold in mind incredible amount of money left at least some of the founders of the billionaires.
Social Networking in Plain English
Social networking is about communities. But with the freedom of expression, profanity, and pornography rampant on the internet, many Christians are looking for social networking sites to uphold a certain level of standards.
I’ve compiled a list of the Top Christian Social Networking Sites on the web today.
Tangle is about expression. A place where you can personalize and express what makes you, you. Tangle allows those to share content (albeit first reviewed by the customer care team) including videos, music, photos and other material. It’s video portion (formally known as GodTube) was ranked in value at $ 30 million from GLG Partners (quite a far shy from the $ 1.6B tag of YouTube)…is a cult favorite.

Hootsuite for Social Network Marketing
In this age of digital domination, businesses are having to change the way they conduct themselves. Social media is just one example of how the ways in which companies advertise themselves has been completely revolutionised. Increasingly, businesses are told to ensure that they have a ‘strong online presence’, and whilst this is undoubtedly good advice, more traditional marketing techniques are often being overlooked as a result.
Whilst gaining ‘likes’ on Facebook or ‘followers’ on Twitter can be a great way of tracking the success of a marketing campaign, it cannot, and should not replace offline marketing techniques. When used in isolation of each other, both can be effective, however when combined, the results simply speak for themselves.
Imagine for example that there are two restaurants in roughly the same location, selling the same style and quality of food, the only difference being their marketing campaigns. One has a presence on all the major social networking sites, but does little in the way of offline techniques and the second restaurant uses a combination of both. Which campaign do you think is likely to be more successful?
Before making your decision, consider the following example of an offline marketing technique. The latter restaurant owner has created a signature dish and through a field marketing agency has organised what is known as an ‘in-house promotion’. This would involve giving members of the public free samples of said signature dish in order to promote both the restaurant’s brand and reputation.
Interest is generated by offering the sample, first at popular locations in the local community, and then encouraging customers into the restaurant itself. Meals can then be offered at promotional prices, and providing that both the service and product is of a high standard, word of mouth will spread like wildfire.
This is where social networking finds its strength; the phrase ‘word of mouth’ takes on a far more substantial meaning. Once interest has been generated, people are far more likely to search for you on Facebook, mention you to their friends or ‘follow’ you on Twitter, where you can continue building customer/brand experience. Whilst this can arguably be achieved to some degree by using social networking in isolation, the process is considerably slower and far more luck is involved in its being successful.
The question is, if you’ve spent many years developing a brand and nurturing its reputation, would you really want to leave the marketing aspect of your business open to such fickle a thing as chance? The simple fact is that social networking is a fantastic marketing tool, when utilised to full effect. However, unless consumers are actually aware enough of your company’s brand and message to begin with, it is far less likely that they will care if you have a social media presence or not.
Offline marketing techniques focus on actual interactive experience between customer and brand, social media is merely a way to continue to strengthen this relationship.
