When you use social media platforms, you can grow your network exponentially, and create a further reach than you could ever manage in person. Be Genuine ~ We already know that people buy from those whom they know, like and trust. If you have a genuine interest in getting to know someone, they will feel that interest. When you interact with someone online through social media, be sure to spend some time getting to know them and telling them about yourself and your business. You may be surprised to learn about some things you have in common. When you share a common interest, it is so much easier to connect on a personal level. After a personal connection is developed, you can transition into sharing your mission for your business, and ask for their support. Use Direct Messaging ~ When you direct message someone, you are forming a relationship beyond social media. This gives you the opportunity to show you are genuine and you care about creating an authentic connection. Ask them about their business and how you can help them. This will show them that you are looking to develop a mutual relationship where you can help them too. Sometimes we need to help someone first in order for them to be willing to help us. By showing someone that you are willing to share a post about their business, they may be willing to do the same for you. Thanks for listening. So, if one wants to see where their site ranks in non-personalized search (to learn where itd appear for potential customers), they would have to clear browser cookies and history as well as log out of all their social accounts – or use SEO tools like Rank Tracker that checks site ranking in personalization-agnostic manner.

Another situation an SEO may encounter is they need to see where a site appears when they search from a particular location. One of the common pitfalls is that web-based marketing tools use a fixed IP address (usually their servers) to check where a site ranks for the users keywords.
At the same time, there are desktop tools like Rank Tracker that use the SEOs actual location to track rankings, and hence report more accurate results.
Web-based SEO tools could also be of bad services when one wants to check their rankings from a location other than their real one (for example, when one is travelling or has a client based far away).
