Social media brings word of mouth to a whole new level! People buy from those who they know, like and trust. By using social media, we offer the public a chance to get to know us and to learn about the mission of our business. Utilizing social media can accomplish several goals, and it can all be done from the comfort of your office or home! Lets discuss a few ways that social media can help grow our business. Relationship building ~ When we use social media, we have a much greater reach than when we are marketing in person. We can reach hundreds, if not thousands of potential customers who are online. Stay current with your friends on social media. Wish them happy birthday or ask them how their vacation was after seeing their pictures. Take advantage of all of the features social media offers us. People will feel appreciated when you acknowledge them and their families. You may not be friends with them outside of social media, and thats OK! As long as you are authentic in your interactions, people will appreciate your attention. Networking ~ It is very common for friends to introduce us to their friends online today. If you are sharing something on Facebook about your business, why not ask your friends to share the information with their friends? Not only are you reaching a larger audience, but you are being endorsed, and that creates trust. LinkedIn offers a great way for professionals to network and to connect with friends of friends. When you use social media platforms, you can grow your network exponentially, and create a further reach than you could ever manage in person. Be Genuine ~ We already know that people buy from those whom they know, like and trust. If you have a genuine interest in getting to know someone, they will feel that interest. When you interact with someone online through social media, be sure to spend some time getting to know them and telling them about yourself and your business. You may be surprised to learn about some things you have in common. When you share a common interest, it is so much easier to connect on a personal level. After a personal connection is developed, you can transition into sharing your mission for your business, and ask for their support. Use Direct Messaging ~ When you direct message someone, you are forming a relationship beyond social media. This gives you the opportunity to show you are genuine and you care about creating an authentic connection. Ask them about their business and how you can help them. This will show them that you are looking to develop a mutual relationship where you can help them too. Sometimes we need to help someone first in order for them to be willing to help us. By showing someone that you are willing to share a post about their business, they may be willing to do the same for you. Thanks for listening. And remember, dont just beat your competition, BLOW THEM AWAY!

Tips for facebook marketing || Facebook for Business Tips || Facebook Tips
Facebook is an American for-profit corporation and online social media and social networking service based in Menlo Park, California. The Facebook website was launched on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg, along with fellow Harvard College students and roommates, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes. The founders had initially limited the website’s membership to Harvard students; however, later they expanded it to higher education institutions in the Boston area, the Ivy League schools, and Stanford University. Facebook gradually added support for students at various other universities, and eventually to high school students as well. Since 2006, anyone age 13 and older has been allowed to become a registered user of Facebook, though variations exist in the minimum age requirement, depending on applicable local laws. The Facebook name comes from the face book directories often given to United States university students. Facebook may be accessed by a large range of desktops, laptops, tablet computers, and smartphones over the Internet and mobile networks. After registering to use the site, users can create a user profile indicating their name, occupation, schools attended and so on. Users can add other users as “friends”, exchange messages, post status updates and digital photos, share digital videos and links, use various software applications (“apps”), and receive notifications when others update their profiles or make posts. Additionally, users may join common-interest user groups organized by workplace, school, hobbies or other topics, and categorize their friends into lists such as “People From Work” or “Close Friends”. In groups, editors can pin posts to top. Additionally, users can complain about or block unpleasant people. Because of the large volume of data that users submit to the service, Facebook has come under scrutiny for its privacy policies. Facebook makes most of its revenue from advertisements which appear onscreen. Facebook, Inc. held its initial public offering (IPO) in February 2012, and began selling stock to the public three months later, reaching an original peak market capitalization of $104 billion. On July 13, 2015, Facebook became the fastest company in the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index to reach a market cap of $250 billion. Facebook has more than 1.65 billion monthly active users as of March 31, 2016. As of April 2016, Facebook was the most popular social networking site in the world, based on the number of active user accounts. Facebook classifies users from the ages of 13 to 18 as minors and therefore sets their profiles to share content with friends only.
